Welcome to Lily’s online shop. These terms apply to purchases made through our website. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

1. About Lily’s

Lily’s Indian Vegetarian Cuisine Limited specialises in traditional Indian vegetarian sweets (mithai), savouries (farsan), snacks and other food products. We supply both freshly prepared and packaged products for delivery across the UK.

2. Our Products

We aim to make descriptions, photographs, weights, ingredients and prices accurate. Traditionally prepared products can vary slightly in colour, shape, texture and appearance, but supplied goods must match their descriptions. Availability may vary, particularly during festivals.

3. Fresh and Packaged Products

Fresh: Some sweets and savouries have short shelf lives or require refrigerated storage and prompt consumption. Packaged: Other products, such as longer-life namkeen or farsan, should be stored as instructed. Read all date markings and storage instructions before consumption. Fresh preparation or packaging alone does not establish whether a statutory cancellation exemption applies.

4. Food Allergies and Dietary Requirements

Although Lily’s specialises in vegetarian food, individual products may contain allergens, including milk, tree nuts, peanuts, gluten-containing cereals, sesame, soya or other regulated allergens. Relevant ingredients and allergen information will be provided before purchase and at delivery in accordance with applicable food law. Review each product carefully and contact us before ordering if clarification is needed. Any precautionary cross-contact warning will reflect an appropriate risk assessment.

5. Ordering and Payment

Customers should provide correct contact and delivery details. An acknowledgement means we have received the order; a contract is formed when we send acceptance or dispatch confirmation as specified in the checkout. If we cannot fulfil an order, we will contact you and refund any payment taken for unavailable items. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include applicable VAT. Delivery charges appear before payment.

6. Nationwide UK Delivery

We offer UK-wide delivery subject to courier availability, suitability of the products and restrictions for particular areas. Charges and expected dates are shown at checkout. Certain fresh and temperature-sensitive items may be limited to areas where we can transport them safely. We may decline a delivery method where food safety cannot reasonably be assured.

7. Delivery Delays

We aim to meet the dates agreed at checkout. Delays can arise from couriers, adverse weather or exceptional demand. Where we cannot meet an agreed deadline, we will explain the options available. Statutory consumer rights for late or failed delivery are unaffected.

8. Storage

Follow all storage and consumption instructions. Refrigerate products that require it promptly upon arrival. Do not consume food after its use-by date. Observe product-specific best-before and food safety guidance.

9. Cancellation and Returns

Some rapidly perishable products are exempt from the usual 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right. Other products, including eligible longer-life packaged goods, may qualify. A separate exception can apply to certain sealed goods unsuitable for return for genuine health or hygiene reasons once opened. These exceptions do not affect rights where goods are faulty, unsafe, damaged or not as described. See the Delivery, Returns & Refund Policy.

10. Promotions

Seasonal offers, festive collections and gift boxes may have specific conditions displayed with the relevant promotion. All promotions are subject to stated conditions and product availability.

11. Intellectual Property

The Lily’s name, branding, logo and original website content belong to Lily’s or are used under licence. Commercial reproduction without permission is prohibited except as allowed by law.

12. Liability

Nothing here excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or statutory consumer protections.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without affecting mandatory consumer protections that apply elsewhere in the UK.
